AI Meets QR Codes: Managing Your Codes Through Conversation

Published on Feb 6, 2026

What if you could create, customize, and track your QR codes without ever opening a dashboard? That's exactly what we built.

Twilee now integrates with AI assistants like Mistral AI, Claude, ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard that lets AI tools interact directly with external services. In practice, this means you can manage your entire QR code workflow through a simple conversation.

See it in action

What can you do with it?

Instead of navigating menus and filling in forms, you just describe what you need:

  • "Create a QR code for my café's Instagram page with rounded dots and a warm color palette." — Done. A fully branded, dynamic QR code ready to print.
  • "How are my QR codes performing this month?" — Instant scan analytics, top-performing codes, and geographic breakdowns, all in plain language.
  • "Update my event QR code to point to the new venue page." — Updated in seconds. Every printed code already reflects the change.

You can also compare performance across codes, export data, upload files, duplicate codes, and manage your team — all through conversation.

Why it matters

Traditional QR code management means clicking through dashboards, remembering where settings live, and switching between tabs. With MCP, the interface is language itself. You describe the outcome you want, and the AI handles the rest.

This is especially powerful for teams managing dozens or hundreds of QR codes. Need a quick status update before a meeting? Just ask. Want to spin up 5 new codes for an upcoming campaign? Describe them in one message.

How to get started

The Twilee MCP integration works with any AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol. To connect it:

  1. Go to your Twilee account settings and generate an API key.
  2. Add the Twilee MCP server to your AI assistant (detailed setup instructions are available in our documentation).
  3. Start managing your QR codes through conversation.

It's available on all paid plans starting from Starter. Note this is currently in beta preview. Advanced types like Survey or Lost & Found might not work as well as on the Twilee App.
