A custom domain lets you replace the default Twilee short URL with your own domain (e.g., qr.yourcompany.com) for QR code redirects and hosted pages.
Setup
- Go to Team > Team settings > Custom domain (admin only).
- Enter your desired subdomain.
- Add the required DNS records at your domain registrar:
- A TXT record to verify domain ownership.
- A CNAME record pointing to Twilee's servers.
- Click Verify. Twilee checks your DNS records and provisions an SSL certificate automatically.
DNS instructions by email
You can send the DNS setup instructions directly to a team member by email from the settings page. This is useful when someone else manages your DNS.
Removing a custom domain
Click Remove in the custom domain settings to disconnect your domain. QR codes will revert to the default Twilee short URL.
Good to know
- DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, though it is typically much faster.
- SSL certificates are provisioned and renewed automatically.
- Only team admins can configure the custom domain.
